Everything you need to know about USC-PLAN to manage attendant shifts in the best way.
USC-PLAN is a free web tool designed to simplify the management of attendant shifts in circuit assemblies and regional conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses. It allows you to create events, add volunteers, define stations, and automatically generate shifts in a few seconds.
Yes, USC-PLAN is completely free. It requires no subscriptions, paid plans, or in-app purchases. It is a tool developed to support the organizational activities of assemblies at no cost.
No. USC-PLAN works entirely via web browser. You do not need to install any application on smartphones, tablets, or computers. All you need is an updated browser and an internet connection.
USC-PLAN is mainly designed for circuit assemblies and regional conventions of Jehovah's Witnesses, but it can be used for any event that requires the coordination of a group of attendants or volunteers organized into shifts and stations.
Click on "Register for free" on the home page, enter your name, email address, and choose a password. You will receive a confirmation email to activate your account. Once activated, you can log in and create your first event.
Go to the login page and click on "Forgot password". Enter the email associated with your account and you will receive a link to reset your password. Also check your spam folder if you cannot find the email.
Yes. From the "Collaborators" section of an event, you can invite other admins via their email address. Each collaborator will have access to the event management panel with the same features as the owner.
From the dashboard, click on "New Event". Enter the name of the assembly, dates, and basic information. Once the event is created, you can add stations, volunteers, and time slots from the sidebar.
There is no limit to the number of events you can create. You can manage assemblies and conventions in parallel, each with its own independent configuration of volunteers, stations, and shifts.
Yes. From the event settings, you can find the option to delete it. Attention: deletion is permanent and removes all associated data. We recommend that you perform a backup first.
Currently, there is no direct duplicate function, but you can export the JSON backup of an event and re-import it as a base for a new one, modifying the necessary information afterwards.
From the "Volunteers" section of your event, you can add each attendant by entering their first name, last name, and optionally, a password for viewer access. You can also import a list via a CSV file to speed up the process for large groups.
There is no preset limit on the number of volunteers per event. USC-PLAN is designed to manage both small circuit assemblies with a few attendants and large regional conventions with dozens of volunteers.
From the "Stations" section, you can add each station with a name, number of attendants required per time slot, and description. You can also upload a map of the venue and position the stations visually to make them easily identifiable by volunteers.
Yes. From the "Conditions" section, you can define special rules: prevent two specific volunteers from being on duty together, force a volunteer to a particular station, exclude them from certain time slots, or limit the maximum number of assignable shifts. The algorithm will respect these conditions.
After configuring stations, volunteers, and time slots, go to the "Scheduling" section and click on "Generate shifts". The algorithm will automatically assign each attendant to the available shifts, respecting the set conditions and distributing the load fairly. The generation takes place in a few seconds.
Yes. After automatic generation, you can manually edit any assignment from the shift grid: add, remove, or move attendants directly in the calendar cells.
If you regenerate shifts, the previous assignments are replaced by the new schedule. Before regenerating, a confirmation warning will be shown. We suggest you perform a JSON backup if you want to keep the previous version.
From the "Time slots" section, you can define the time blocks of the assembly (for example 09:00–10:30, 10:30–12:00, etc.) for each day of the event. The algorithm will use these slots to assign shifts.
Each attendant can access their personal shift view via the USC-PLAN viewer page. They will need to enter the event code, their first name, last name, and the assigned password. They will only see their own shifts and, if enabled, the venue map.
No. Attendants access as "viewers" without needing to create an account. They simply use the event code and credentials (first name, last name, password) that the coordinator assigns them. No registration is required.
Yes. USC-PLAN has a responsive design and works perfectly on smartphones, tablets, and computers. Attendants can check their shifts from any device without problems.
The viewer shows attendants their assigned shifts (station, day, and time slot), and if the coordinator has uploaded a map, they can view the position of their stations on the room layout image.
Yes. From the "Scheduling" section, you can export shifts to PDF format, ready for printing or digital distribution to attendants. The PDF includes all assignments organized in a clear and readable way.
Yes. USC-PLAN supports exporting to CSV format, compatible with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and other spreadsheet software. You can export both the volunteer list and the complete shift grid.
From the "Backup" section, you can download a JSON file with all event data (stations, volunteers, time slots, shifts, conditions). This file can be re-imported at any time to restore the event.
Yes. From the same "Backup" section, you can upload a previously downloaded JSON file. The system will restore all saved data in the backup, overwriting the current event configuration.
Yes. USC-PLAN only stores strictly necessary data (first name, last name, and password of volunteers) and does not collect additional sensitive information. The data is only accessible by the event admin and their collaborators. For more details, read our Privacy Policy.
The complete shift plan is visible only to the event admins and collaborators. Each attendant, via the viewer, only sees their personal shifts. It is not possible for an attendant to see another one's shifts.
USC-PLAN only uses technical cookies necessary for the login session. No profiling cookies, advertising trackers, or invasive analysis tools are used. For details, consult the Privacy Policy.
Double check that you are entering the correct email and password. If you forgot your password, use the "Forgot password" function on the login page. If the problem persists, contact the developer via salernohub.net.
This can happen if the set conditions are too restrictive and make a valid schedule impossible, or if the number of volunteers is not sufficient to cover all shifts. Check the conditions, the number of attendants, and the stations required per time slot.
You can contact the developer via the website salernohub.net. Feedback is always welcome and helps improve the tool for the entire community.
